When identifying a topic for your research, it is a good idea to not only explore what interests you, but also learn what scholars have found significant. Developing a working knowledge of your topic involves identifying a rich but manageable body of literature with which to work. What aspects of your topic do scholars engage? What questions are they asking about the topic? What evidence and methods are they using to pursue answers?
